The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has released the information brochure for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 on its official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in, on August 26, 2023.
IISc Bangalore conducts the GATE computer-based test (CBT), which assesses candidates’ knowledge of undergraduate engineering, technology, science, and architecture courses as well as undergraduate and graduate-level humanities and science courses. GATE 2024 will have 30 test papers distributed over four days.
The GATE 2024 information brochure contains all the details about the administration of the GATE 2024 examination. The exam will take place on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The GATE 2024 results will be disclosed on March 16, 2024.
The GATE 2024 scorecard remains valid for three years after the results are revealed. Additionally, candidates with BDS, BVSc, or BSc degrees in agriculture, horticulture, or forestry are eligible to take the GATE 2024 exam.
GATE 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates planning to appear for GATE 2024 must check the below-mentioned eligibility criteria before applying for the examination:
- There are no prerequisites for taking the test, including minimum pass percentages.
- Age Requirements: There is no predetermined minimum age for the GATE exam.
- Nationality: Candidates must be of Indian heritage. Candidates from Nepal, Bangladesh, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, or the United Arab Emirates can also apply for the exam, provided they have completed their undergraduate degrees.

How To Apply For GATE 2024?
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for the GATE 2024 exam:
- Visit the official website for GATE 2024 @gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
- On the homepage, click on the “New User” and register yourself. An application number or enrollment ID will be issued to the registered email address following a successful registration.
- Login using GOAPS Enrollment ID and Password sent to the registered ID. Fill in the requested information on the application form, including your personal information and educational background.
- Upload scanned documents including Passport-size Photograph, Signature, Eligibility Certificate, SC/ST Certificate, and PwD Certificate as per the given guidelines.
- Based on the category, candidates must pay the application fee through credit card, debit card, or net banking.
- Before submitting the application form, a candidate must read and accept the declaration statement. Once the declaration has been accepted, candidates can submit the application form.
